Dexter Jackson turned negatives into positives after starting competing as a bantamweight. He turned pro at light-heavy category some years ago.
Dexter Jackson didn`t win a pro show for four years but Dexter has done a lot of winning since then and a lot of muscles.
He is focusing on the negative half of reps and does slow and controlled ones.
In an interview Dexter Jackson said that he wasn`t made for being a big guy and the way he built his muscle mass was by lifting heavy year-round. He also said that you have to control the weight on the negative half of a rep to stimulate maximum muscle growth and if you just hurry it to build up momentum you just lie to yourself.
Negatives really stress out your muscles…I hate `em
