Why is it better for you to chew slowly

chew slow for low bodyfat When your mother told you to chew up your food she did it for a reason and that reason of chewing is not only that it helps to break down the food mechanically, but also helps to release more digestive system enzymes to carry the process further. If you don’t chew your food enough, it may result in incomplete digestion. An incomplete digestion resulted from not chewing means that there are less nutrients like amino acids, getting to your muscles, and this could limit your muscle growth.

In an issue of Preventive Medicine it was told that besides the higher bodyfat from faster eaters there was a higher blood glucose too and insuline levels than those who chew slowly when eating.

So why is it better for you to chew slowly?
Eating your meals slowly can help you build more muscle mass and keep bodyfat at normal limits. Slow down your chewing, enjoy your meal and let the digestion process do its job to keep insulin levels low.
