Ben Affleck`s Workout and Diet Plan

Well you should see it because it`s a really nice one with some good action in it :). Ben Affleck got some ripped muscles and a impressive physique when playing the role of a ex pro hockey player Doug “Dougie” MacRay, a longtime thief that tries to manage his feelings for a bank manager connected to one of his earlier heists… so the plot begins 😀 but nevermind the movie, let`s talk about Ben Affleck`s Workout and even a little bit about Ben`s Diet Plan.

Let`s start with the beginning:

How did Ben Affleck add muscle while staying pretty lean for this cops and robbers movie?

Ben did it with the help of two factors:

  • his personal trainer Walter Norton Jr. former Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Boston Celtics
  • his perseverance
  • ben tshirtMaybe you can`t afford a personal trainer like Ben Affleck had but you can have that other factor perseverance that can help you build muscles and stay lean with your workout even if you don`t have a lot of money. The philosophy after wich Ben Affleck trained was:

    “Intensity builds Immensity”

    Here are some exercises that Ben Affleck used in his workout to get ripped when training super hardcore like an animal:

  • Weighted Pull-ups for his back. Ben did 3 sets with 10-15 reps or to failure while placing a weight between the legs (Ben Affleck actually used 90 pound dumbbells).
  • Dumbbell Bench Press for his chest. Ben did 3 sets with 10-15 reps or to failure in different angles etc. Dumbbells are really good because they help you target the chest muscles, you can even get lower with them than with a barbell.
  • Supinated Curls for his biceps. Ben Affleck did 3 sets with 10-15 reps or to failure while starting with heavier dumbbells and working his way down until he had complete muscle failure and that`s the way you can really build muscle tissue.
  • Walking Lunges for his legs. Ben did 3 sets with 10-15 reps or to failure. This exercise works the quads, hamstrings, the glutes and it`s a really good way to tighten your legs like Ben Affleck did with his workout. Remember to push up with your heels to hit the glutes.
  • Hanging Leg Raises for his abs. Ben did 3 sets as usual with 10-15 reps or to failure. For this exercise you have to go as fast as possible up and very slow when bringing the legs down. Lean your body forward to tighten the abs.
  • There are much more exercises that Ben Affleck used for his workout but these are the main exercises that give you that dream physique with ripped muscles.

    Ben Affleck`s Diet Plan
    What you need to know about Ben`s diet plan is that he rarely eats bread and he tries to stop eating late at night to cut down on calories. Ben Affleck eats around 2000 calories per day with a lot of protein and that makes him stay lean :D.
