Daniel Craig is an outstanding actor and i personally think that he reflects perfectly the image of how today’s James Bond should look like in those Bond movies like Skyfall; A James Bond who’s more credible, a man with a semi bodybuilder body resulted from a James Bond workout and diet, a British Secret Service agent who drives a very expensive car like Aston Martin but a car that’s not filled with gizmos.

Daniel Craig is a muscular model in the role of James Bond and he did it with the help of his circuit training routine and diet plan.

A circuit training routine is a program where you simply jump from one exercise to another with minimal rest. This is a way to build muscle and burn fat at the same time so that’s why Daniel Craig’s big muscles are packed on a shredded frame.

How to build muscles using Daniel Craig’s workout:

He usually does 4 big sets with 15 reps on each exercise. The exercises from the James Bond workout should be performed one after the other with little rest because that’s how you can keep you heart rate high and ensure a bigger amount of calories which are burned during and after the workout.

If you’re still burning calories after circuit training then you can eat more food because your diet plan will still do its job and you’ll be happy with your workout results which resemble to those from the 007 Skyfall movie.

Because it is said that cold temperatures from the kriotherapy treatment can stimulate the blood flow and double the amount of time a person can exercise and this is a good thing when you want to go that extra mile for intense training sessions. Along with the circuit training, other training techniques involved power lifting and working out extremely hard with heavy weights but the workout results are clear from these Daniel Craig shirtless or “topless” photos!

The circuit training which Daniel Craig used in his workout routine sounds something like this:

  • The Clean and Jerk – How to do it? Stand with your heels on the ground and don’t move them. Grab a barbell like you are going to do a deadlift with it. Lift it to your mid thighs, flip to your chest, then press overhead. This is one exhausting exercise but it’s perfect for strength training and Daniel Craig used it!
  • A proper old school Squat – How to do it? Well everybody knows how to squat, if not, check a youtube video; Traditional squats with wide stance and toes pointing out a bit for a good body position. Just go down to 90 degrees and build big Daniel Craig thighs.
  • Bench Press – Basic barbell bench press but take 3 seconds to lower, one second to raise the weight and don’t lockout at top because this is a special technique used in resistance training.
  • Pull Ups or Chin Ups – Take an overhand grip, and make sure you go up high enough to where your chin goes over the bar. If these are too difficult use a chin up machine for your Daniel Craig workout but remember to follow a strict diet plan.
  • Dips for bulking triceps – Basic dips and go down to where your elbows reach 90 degrees before going back up to have a full muscle tension in the triceps if you do want huge triceps like James Bond had in the new Skyfall movie.
  • Barbell Curls – Use a straight bar if possible and use a full range of motion if you want to get big.
  • Dumbbell Lateral Raises – Bend your arms 90 degrees and use a strict motion to raise the dumbbells to shoulder level. It is best to use a light weight and be strict with these if you really want to know how to build muscles.

  • Shrugs and reverse flyes for traps and shoulders
  • In the weekends, Daniel Craig did a light stretch out and some swimming
  • Incline bench presses and incline flyes were done for a better chest
  • Leg curls and weighted lunges for a proper leg workout

Daniel Craig’s diet consisted in a strict but also flexible approach. The bad thing for him was the fact that he had to quit smoking since the Quantum of Solace movie but his diet plan had small meals with natural food (vegetables, lean meat, eggs, fish), lots of protein shakes and for dessert he ate fresh fruits.

Starchy carbs as potatoes or rice, were a no no after 5 pm!
