The bones of an ectomorph are light, joints are small and muscles are slight. The limbs are long in proportion and the shoulders droop. The ectomorph is a linear physique. Straight up and straight down, and may appear longer than he or she really is, due to the length of limbs coupled with lack of muscle mass developed on those limbs. The ectomorph is not naturally powerful and will have to work hard for every ounce of muscle and every bit of strength he or she can gain.The hair of an ectomorph is fine, it grows quickly, it`s sometimes difficult to keep in place and its skin tends to burn easily.</p>

<p><span id="more-3164"></span>While ectomorphs tend to have difficulty in gaining muscle mass, they also tend to accumulate less fat than most people. Also, ectomorphs need little or no cardio to maintain that lean and slim appearance. Too much cardio will increase their metabolism making it even harder to put on muscle mass.</p>
<p><strong>Nutrition of an Ectomorph</strong><br />
An ectomorph should have a diet that is high in protein, carbs, and moderate in fat. Ectomorphs tend to be insulin resistant, so they need to consume more carbs in order to promote muscle growth. When selecting carbs, choose those that have a low glycemic indices so your weight gain will primarily be muscle.</p>
<p><strong>Training for Ectomorphs</strong><br />Ectomorphs usually put very difficult muscle mass, they train consistently and are often frustrated by the lack of gains. Ectomorphs aren&#8217;t as powerful as mesomorphs and here are some training tips:
<li>Train only one muscle group per session.</li>
<li>Use 2-3 exercises per muscle group with 3-4 sets because for ectomorphs this is the best stimulation.</li>
<li>Use moderate weight that allows you to get 6-12 reps per set.</li>
<li>Stick with basic compound movements and keep it simple because as i said, ectomorphs don`t need big variation of exercises.

<p>According to scientists from Holland the body needs at least 6 hours of sleep a night to absorb the sugar in blood, sugar that is accumulated during the day thus preventing diabetes. Sleeping 6 hours a night also regulates your blood sugar level but for gaining muscle mass you need at least 8-10 hours of good sleep so do something with your insomnia.<br /><span id="more-2926"></span><br /> <strong><center>Researchers found that those who sleep less than 6 hours a night are more prone to premature mortality risk by 12% and diabetes by 24% than those who sleep 6-8 hours a night.</center></strong></p>
<p>Optimum duration of sleep is somewhere near 7 hours for a good rest in the case of normal people, and for a bodybuilder that tries to get some lean muscle mass on him 8-10 hours so remember the fact that insomnia can reduce your muscle mass and trigger diabetes !</p>

<p>After drug dealing 50 Cent got help from <strong>Eminem</strong> (Slim Shady) to promote his album and it was a hit, as well as his following movies.</p>
<p> But now everything has changed for the well developed physique with greatly shaped muscles of 50 Cent because when he was preparing for his &#8220;skinny&#8221; role in the future movie <strong>&#8220;Things Fall Apart&#8221;</strong> that will appear in cinemas in 2011, a drama centered around a promising football running back during his senior year in college that gets diagnosed with cancer, he had to lose weight and fast!</p>
<p><span id="more-2874"></span><br /> For this movie, 50 Cent lost almost 30 kg, from 97 to 70 in nine weeks (as you can see in the photos) with a liquid diet and doing exercises at the gym for three hours daily (overtraining). 50 Cent is co-producer of this movie along with Randall Emmett, partner in the production company Cheetah Vision Films.</p>

<p>Researchers from the Food and Nutrition Department at Seoul National University examined the effect of fish oils on muscle recovery in rats.<br />The rats were assigned like so:
<li>a fish oil group (rich in Omega 3 fatty acids)</li>
<li>the other group was assigned to a corn oil diet (high in Omega 6 fatty acids)</li>
<p><span id="more-2449"></span><br />The rats were immobilized for a few weeks and after the immobilization they were allowed to exercise their muscles. When a person is immobilized for certain reasons as fractures etc. the muscle that isn`t used anymore is going to atrophy, and in our case with these rats, the scientists are interested in the fastest way to rejuvenate and repair that muscle with a low degree of inhibition.</p>
<p>When the rat is allowed to exercise, the muscle has tension placed on it again and the researchers can examine the degree of inhibition in muscle recovery.<br /><center><strong>What type of fat inhibits less and allows for faster muscle recovery and muscle hypertrophy?</strong></center><br />Well after that experiment with the rats on corn and fish oil diet the results were something like so:</p>
<li> muscle weight and muscle protein content were restored faster by five days of remobilization in the corn oil group</li>
<li>muscle weight and muscle protein measurements did not significantly change until 13 days of remobilization in the fish oil group</li>
<p> In the article i saw some scientific details but this is what you need to know in large about this experiment; the findings (in rats) indicate that dietary fish oil inhibits the early stage of muscle recovery by suppressing the activation of anabolic pathway Akt–p70s6k signaling and prostaglandins synthesis.</p>

Cam Gigandet is skinny compared to bodybuilders but he has a conditioned body and women adore this kind of physique.<br />
He`s just like a model in fashion magazines with a refined physique and crisp abs.</p>
<p>He had a small career as a football player (quarterback) but he realized that he doesn`t like it so much and his favorite exercises are swimming, and at the gym clean and jerks (he doesn`t master them).</p>
<p><strong>Cam Gigandet`s workout routine</strong></p>
<p>Cam got to a  6-8% body fat and he held it still for a few months by having a great workout.His workout is bodybuilder styled but he trains his physique with light weights and a lot of reps.It`s good that i found out what weights he uses in his muscle building routine.</p>
<p><strong>Monday- Chest</strong></p>
<li>3 sets– 25 push-ups</li>
<li>3 sets– nautilus presses (45 kg, 55 kg, 65 kg)</li>
<li>3 sets– nautilus incline presses (55 kg, 65 kg, 70 kg)</li>
<li>3 sets– pec deck machine (40 kg, 45 kg, 50 kg)</li>

<p><strong>Wednesday– Shoulders</strong></p>
<li>3 sets– arnold presses (35 kg, 35 kg, 35 kg)</li>
<li>3 sets– dumbbell lateral raises (15 kg, 15 kg, 15 kg)</li>
<li>3 sets- dumbbell front raises (10 kg, 10 kg, 10 kg)</li>
<p><strong>Thursday– Biceps and Triceps</strong></p>

<p><strong>Friday– Cardio Work</strong></p>
<li>45 minute treadmill run at 65-75% of maximum heart rate</li>
<p><strong>Cam Gigandet`s Diet Plan</strong></p>

If you want to have a ripped and shredded physique you need to eat high protein foods and choose from healthy fat sources.<br />
Throw away the basic carbs like: cereals, bread, bagels, pasta and replace them with vegetables. This diet will help you eat more without adding more calories and thus making your path to get lean, shredded and ripped more easier!</p>
<p>As you can see from Cam Gigandet`s workout and diet plan, you don&#8217;t necessarily need to gain that much muscle just some resistance training to maintain your actual mass.<br />
