He even stopped running due to the shin hurting so bad.</p>
<p>He asked me:</p>
<li>Is there anything I can do to reduce the pain from those shin splints (stretching, massage, etc)?</li>
<li>Will running with smaller steps decrease the shin splints from hurting this much?</li>
<p>Well.. it depends on the severity of that &#8220;ouchhh my shin hurts!!&#8221;, although you should go to a doctor.</p>
<p>Shin splints are basically little fractures all along you shin and those hurting shin splints can be caused by more factors that meaning you can get a different diagnosis as another person.<br /><span id="more-3049"></span></p>
<p><strong>Diagnosis:</strong> <a href="http://muscle.iuhu.org/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/shin-splints-fracture.jpg"><img onload="NcodeImageResizer.createOn(this);" class="alignright size-medium wp-image-3064" title="shin-splints-fracture" src="http://muscle.iuhu.org/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/shin-splints-fracture-300x281.jpg" alt="tibial stress fracture" width="180" height="169" /></a></p>
<li><strong>Overused muscle:</strong> The muscle pain is caused by any activity that involves running, jumping, also sometimes even walking (especially on concrete). Untreated shin splints can lead to a stress reaction mid-shaft in the tibia, which can eventually lead to a stress fracture.</li>
<li><strong>Pes Planus:</strong> Pes Planus or &#8216;flat foot&#8217; is a leading cause of Medial Tibial Stress Syndrome or more commonly medial shin splints. Flat feet causes the posterior tibialis and other muscles of the medial shin to become overstretched, weakened, and inflamed. This is cyclical. The more the muscle(s) is overstretched, the weaker and more inflamed it becomes.</li>
<li><strong>Chronic compartment syndrome:</strong> CCS (mimics anterior shin splints) occurs when swelling within the indistensible anterior compartment of the leg reduces blood flow. This relative lack of oxygen, ischemia, can cause more swelling and generate a positive feedback loop. In severe cases the result can be acute compartment syndrome (ACS) which requires emergency surgery to prevent ischemic muscle necrosis due to lack of blood.</li>
<p><center>Tingling in the foot is a particular red flag; it indicates compression of the nerve and it can cause severe problems for that apparently shin splint!</center></p>

In some minor cases, the best thing for shin splints is just plain rest in the legs. It may take weeks or months of healing depending on different cases of shin splints.</p>
<li>you can do some calf stretches flexing your toe up until you feel tension in your shins as a treatment</li>
<li>rub some icy hot or tiger balm on it and if the pain gets worse there is also arthritis hot which is like icy hot but better</li>
<li>many doctors suggest also stretching the muscles from the hamstrings as a treatment, after warming up, because tight hamstrings can lead to problems such as shin splints.</li>
<li>buy yourself special shoes with high arch if you have flat feet (pes planus)</li>

<p><strong>What is a off season bodybuilder?</strong></p>
<p>Well, the term of <strong>off season</strong> is used for that period of time that is far away from bodybuilding competitions, approximately 4-5 months before them when the real bodybuilder`s nightmare begins with diets and lots of cardio.</p>
<p>Competitive bodybuilders try to make muscle gains in the off season (when they are not close to a bodybuilding competition, as seen in the photos below) and before the bodybuilding competitions (2-3 months before) they start losing body fat while keeping as much muscle as they can.</p>
<p>Off season training is geared towards gaining the most muscle size (as seen in the photos). Bodybuilding off season workouts are done hard and heavy by bodybuilders, using mostly basic exercises like squats, deadlifts, bench press, press over head, curls, etc.<br /><span id="more-2196"></span></p>
<p>Also the off season is a good time for trying new training techniques, supplements, etc. just look at the photos and you will be amazed of the mass bodybuilders gain in the off season.</p>

Cam Gigandet is skinny compared to bodybuilders but he has a conditioned body and women adore this kind of physique.<br />
He`s just like a model in fashion magazines with a refined physique and crisp abs.</p>
<p>He had a small career as a football player (quarterback) but he realized that he doesn`t like it so much and his favorite exercises are swimming, and at the gym clean and jerks (he doesn`t master them).</p>
<p><strong>Cam Gigandet`s workout routine</strong></p>
<p>Cam got to a  6-8% body fat and he held it still for a few months by having a great workout.His workout is bodybuilder styled but he trains his physique with light weights and a lot of reps.It`s good that i found out what weights he uses in his muscle building routine.</p>
<p><strong>Monday- Chest</strong></p>
<li>3 sets– 25 push-ups</li>
<li>3 sets– nautilus presses (45 kg, 55 kg, 65 kg)</li>
<li>3 sets– nautilus incline presses (55 kg, 65 kg, 70 kg)</li>
<li>3 sets– pec deck machine (40 kg, 45 kg, 50 kg)</li>

If you want to have a ripped and shredded physique you need to eat high protein foods and choose from healthy fat sources.<br />
Throw away the basic carbs like: cereals, bread, bagels, pasta and replace them with vegetables. This diet will help you eat more without adding more calories and thus making your path to get lean, shredded and ripped more easier!</p>
<p>As you can see from Cam Gigandet`s workout and diet plan, you don&#8217;t necessarily need to gain that much muscle just some resistance training to maintain your actual mass.<br />

We started talking and we hooked up.I don`t know how i let her do it, but she made me forget about my dream of bodybuilding and she was rather jealous and that fact made me lose many opportunities. With the time passing by i`ve noticed that i`ve been <strong>skipping meals</strong> because i stood with her everyday and didn`t have the time to eat. That little factor made me lose about 50% of what i`ve achieved in the gym, so money and health gone for nothing.<br />
After the usual things that happened in our relationship, like:</p>
<li>often fights</li>
<li> her unusually strong jealousy</li>
<li>catching her cheating on me</li>
<p>I decided: &#8220;No More!&#8221; and i broke off with her.</p>
<p><strong>And you know what?</strong></p>
<p>Every bad thing has an opposite effect!</p>
<p>My ex-girlfriends sister had a boyfriend and he was a K1 fighter that enjoyed bodybuilding as much as i did.(let`s call him Jim)<br />
Jim was older than me and he had the answers for everything.<span id="more-1891"></span> I was sad after my separation with my girlfriend but he took me &#8220;under his wing&#8221; and told me all kinds of bodybuilder secrets that he learned in years of bodybuilding. We were also gym partners and Jim really had a huge impact on me.<br />
Ohh another thing that i forgot to say; I was the kind of guy that talked a lot especially during training yeah yeah, that guy that you hate in the gym that just comes to talk <img onload="NcodeImageResizer.createOn(this);" src='http://muscle.iuhu.org/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' />  and Jim was a little bit harsh or severe with me but i understood the fact that he was trying to make me focus on building muscles, not on talking and jerking around.</p>
<p><strong>So he disciplined me and was a good friend.</strong></p>
<p>I admire Jim, he really knows what he wants from life and takes it with a full hand.<br />
But one day i decided that i want to <strong>take steroids</strong>, i thought  i could be more happy and feel better about me but i will tell you about those steroids in another part ( to be continued)</p>
